And this doesn't take into account bonuses for cooking the books on crime statistics, extravagant perks such as private medical costs, private schooling, expensed vehicles for wives, ACPO membership, paid for second accomodation in plush Westminster settings, benefit in kind tax paid for by the tax payer, half a million quid for the luxurious ACPO Conference, complete with its strawberries dipped in chocolate! ... need we go on?
When such an intense focus is being placed on front line overtime, which is more essential to providing the best policing the tax payer can get, it's time the spotlight was shone more brightly on the extravangances and profiligacy of our forces' senior management.
